BIM enters the Espoo City model and point cloud data
Updated: Nov 30, 2019
Espoo’s city model came alive as Trimble’s new offices entered the Trimble Locus Cloud service. The design data created with Trimble SketchUp software was uploaded to the model of Espoo City to be viewed as if built in the Hatsinanpuisto area in the district of Leppävaara.
Trimble Locus Cloud provides versatile tools for professionals. The model can be rotated endlessly in the system to view the design from any perspective. In order to see the big picture, the user can simultaneously look at both the 2D and 3D views. The 3D view is automatically updated as the focus on the map changes.
The 2D data in the background can be changed and selected from a zoning map to aerial view as need be. All this can be done in the browser, which is where the material is needed.
